John, the ghost, Gamble was my third great grandfather. You tell the story very well. It is a little different than the typed out sheet that I have that was passed down by an old relative of mine more than 40 years ago, but it’s fairly accurate. Some accounts say they never found the body. Others say they found the body with his pants pockets cut off. I became friends with Leb Mercers great great great granddaughter. We actually met once and I bought her dinner nearly 6 years ago. She showed me a picture of her ancestor. I wish I had a picture of mine.
